Children’s Home
There are 400 million children in India under the age of 15. Thirty-five million of those children are orphans, 11 million are abandoned, 90% are girls, 20 million are child laborers, and 1.2 million are child prostitutes.
(Operation World || Joshua Project)
Life Light wants to address this issue and is committed to make a difference in these children’s lives. Our children’s home (NBCH) is home to over 70 boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 18 who are orphaned, destitute, or street children.
Life Light focuses on the spiritual, physical, educational, and relational development of these children. All of the children attend a very good school and receive medical care and nutritious food. Life Light Ministries prepares these boys and girls to move towards independence by encouraging them to attend junior college at age 16. We continue supporting them financially, with some living in the home while attending a nearby college. Our goal is to equip them to live independently by helping them start a business, learn a trade or further their education.
Many of the Life Light boys want to serve the Lord with their lives, and two have already chosen to enter full-time ministry. They are currently undergoing training and will serve on a church planting team from Life Light Ministries helping to plant churches in India. As our children grow up and eventually move away from NBCH they are leaving with promising futures filled with hope and practical training to succeed
