There are 400 million children in India under the age of 15. Thirty-five million of those children are orphans, 11 million are abandoned, 90% are girls, 20 million are child laborers, and 1.2 million are child prostitutes.
(Operation World || Joshua Project)
Life Light wants to address this issue and is committed to make a difference in these children’s lives. New Beginnings Girl’s Home and Life Touch Boy’s Home is home for 60 boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 16 who are orphans, destitute or street children.
Life Light focuses on the spiritual, physical, educational, and relational development of these children. All of the children attend a very good school and receive medical care and nutritious food. Life Light Ministries prepares these boys and girls to live independently when they turn 16 by helping them start a business, learn a trade or further their education.
Many of the Life Light boys want to serve the Lord with their lives, and two have already chosen to enter full-time ministry. They are currently undergoing training, and will serve on a church planting team from Life Light Ministries helping to plant churches in India.
